Board Certification

  • Family Nurse Practitioner

Lauren Linton was born and raised on a family owned and operated dairy farm in Martinsburg, West Virginia. Having a twin sister diagnosed with complex partial epilepsy and both parents surviving cancer have strongly influenced Lauren’s desire to become a healthcare provider. Sticking to her West Virginia roots, Lauren graduated Summa Cum Lade from West Virginia University(WVU) with her Bachelors of Science in Nursing in May 2018.

She started her first nursing career on the abdominal organ transplant unit at University of Virginia Health System (UVA) where she cared for both living and deceased donor kidney, pancreas, liver, and auto-islet cell transplants on the intermediate care inpatient unit. Having the opportunity to work with this very specific patient population provided her with a strong medical and surgical background and challenged her to remain current with evidence-based practice and leading technologies.

Lauren completed her Masters of Science in Nursing, from West Virginia University May 2021, and is now a Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner. When not working, Lauren enjoys running, cooking/baking, and spending time outside boating and skiing with family and friends!
