Biography

Martina is originally from San Antonio, Texas. She attended the University of the Incarnate Word and earned a Bachelor’s in Psychology and a Master’s in Education. In her early years, she was a medic in the U.S. Air Force and taught English as a foreign Language in Ethiopia with the Peace Corps.

She moved to Virginia about 23 years ago and lives in Albemarle County. She attended the University of Virginia School of Nursing and received a Master’s of Science in Nursing. She received her Family Nurse Practitioner’s Post Masters Certificate from the University of Texas in Arlington. She is board certified by The American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and by the American Nurses Credentialing Center.

Martina enjoys practicing family medicine and has special interests in preventive care and helping patients maintain or achieve an optimum quality of life.

In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family. She likes exercising, cooking and is a novice gardener.
